Mumbles Rangers Under 8's @ Daniel James School Mumbles 3 - 0 Union RangersTeam: LLOYD EVANS, TOM ANDREW, BRADLEY DENTY, MIKE THOMPSON, SAM WADE, ZAC WILLIAMS, RHYS THOMAS SUBS: FINLEY CAPEL, SHANE HARRIES, JACK DUFFY. An excellent all round performance against old rivals Union Rangers saw an impressive debut game from Sam Wade. Mumbles were causing Union all sorts of problems with neat passing moves and it was only a matter of time until the first goal was to come via a fine strike from Rhys. A few minutes later Rhys was on the score sheet again with a shot from a tight angle after a break from Bradley and through pass from Tom. The second half was much the same with Mumbles dominating the play. A fine strike from Zac after a run up mid field made the final score 3-0. This game was won however by the outstanding defence of Bradley and Michael who held Union in their own half for much of the game . Mumbles 0 - 0 Treboeth Team: SHAQUILLE FREDRICKSON, ELLIOT HOLLAND, JACK DUFFY, JACOB SEAL, SAM HOLLOWOOD, JOSHUA WALLIS. Subs: MICHAEL THOMPSON, DANNY HASSAN, LEWIS HUMBLE. With the wind now picking up this was a really hard fought game with both teams giving their all. Chances were few and far between at both ends. Again some excellent debut performances from Sam , Elliott, Jack and a star performance from our new goalkeeper Shaquille. Playing against a strong second half wind Mumbles applied some good pressure and almost saw them win the game after a Treboeth defensive mix up but were unable to apply the finishing touch. Special mention to Lloyd who made a fine performance in defence with some darting runs and strong tackling, and Elloitt who’s work rate throughout the game was amazing. Mumbles 4 - 0 DunvantTeam: SHAQUILLE FREDRICKSON, FINLEY CAPEL, DANNY HASSAN, MARK TOBIN, ZAC WILLIAMS, LEWIS HUMBLE, SHANE HARRIES, Subs:TOM ANDREW, RHYS THOMAS, BRADLEY DENTY. Dominating from the start the opener was a cracking strike from, once again Zac, With the defence tackling and covering everything that came their way they finished the half on the 1-0 lead. Substitute Tom added to the score following a fine pass from Shane. Fine performances from Finley at right back with some darting runs , another fine Mumbles move saw Shane make it 3-0. It was Shane again who added to the tally to make it 4-0 soon after, with Mumbles always threatening to add more right up to the final whistle. Mark Tobin needs a mention for a fine display at left back and along with Danny they made it difficult for their wingers to make any impact on that wing. PLAYER OF THE WEEK:LLOYD EVANS
