 Mumbles Rangers Albion Under 8's
@ Myndd Newydd  - Sunday 7th October 2007

MUMBLES RANGERS ALBION 0 V 0 PLOUGH COLTS

TEAM: LUCAS WILLIAMS, DANNY HASSAN, MICHAEL THOMPSON, JACOB SEAL, JOSH WALLIS, LEWIS HUMBLE, SHANE HARRIES.

First game of the season for the new Albion side which dominated the entire game as the Colts only ventured near our goal area three of four times during the whole match. Despite long periods of pressure around the Colts goalmouth we some how failed to score with two excellent long range shots  from Jacob and one from Shane all hitting the posts. A couple of saved attempts from Josh and Shane it seemed it was just not going to be our match.

Excellent passing was a pleasure to watch and some darting runs up the left wing from Lewis and Michael to supply crosses into the box, which unfortunately resulted in missed chances. Solid defence from Danny and Lucas kept the scorecard clean so a draw was achieved from a fine opening performance.

MUMBLES RANGERS ALBION 2 V 0 CWM ALBION

TEAM: LUCAS WILLAMS, JACK GLASNEIKS, MICHAEL THOMPSON, TOM ANDREW, JOSHUA WALLIS/LEWIS HUMBLE, SAM HOLLOWOOD, SHANE HARRIES.

Another superb display of football from Mumbles Albion with good passing and strong attacking runs resulted in an early goal from Shane with a shot just outside the goal mouth area .Sam and Michael caused Cwm a lot of trouble on the left wing with their strong runs and one of these resulted in a cross from Sam being passed back by Josh to Tom to finish with a shot 5m out to make it 2-0.

Second half remained goalless despite sustained Mumbles Albion pressure, with a excellent performance from Joshua in midfield who ran rings around the Cwm defence all match. Jack in his first show in any Mumbles game was solid in defence making some strong tackles and impressive touchline runs and with Lucas who was as ever fearless in goal, ensured we kept a clean sheet for the second time and a first win.

 MUMBLES RANGERS ALBION 0 V 1 MALSTERS

TEAM:LUCAS WILLIAMS, JACOB SEAL, JACK GLASNEIKS, DANNY HASSAN, SAM HOLLOWOOD, LEWIS HUMBLE/JOSHUA WALLIS, TOM ANDREW

A very physical game ended in a loss for the Albion, which despite numerous attempt at goal and some solid defending from Jacob and Jack, it took a break up midfield resulting in a powerful shot outside the goal area for Malsters to take the lead. Two evenly matched teams battled it out but despite efforts from Lewis and Sam up font we just could not break their defence.
