MUMBLES ALBION 0 V 0 GARDEN VILLAGE

First game of the New Year started a little rusty but Albion ground out a welcome draw in the end against a good Village side. Some attacks on the Garden village goal first half came close with Michael Thompson having a few good runs on the left wing and shots from Shane and Josh coming close. Second half we were put under quite a bit of pressure but good defence from Danny and Jacob and an outstanding bit of goalkeeping from Lucas kept us in the running to achieve a draw.

MUMBLES ALBION 0 V 0 WEST END

After we run off our Xmas mince pies the first match, we played a much better game this time with some good passing and tackling from all. Albion had the lions share of possession and had many attempt on the west end goalmouth all coming close and even hitting the uprights a couple of times. The front four played well with breaks by both wingers causing West End numerous problems throughout the game. Jack, Mike and Lucas were solid in defence  limiting West End to very few chances, but at the end it was the second draw of the day for Albion.

MUMBLES ALBION 7 V 0 ST JOSEPH COLTS GREEN

At last goals! Albion dominated nearly all the match with everyone on the pitch giving it their all to produce what was Albion’s biggest win of the season. Sam opened the scoring with a fine strike followed by a second scored by Tom after some excellent build up from jack on the wing. Sam added to his tally soon after with a break up the midfield and a great finish to make it 3-0. Jack then got on the score sheet himself with a beautiful long range shot to the corner and moments later added a second with another shot to make it 5-0. Sam achieved the first Albion hat trick

After a great break from Lewis and an inch perfect pass through for Sam to finish off. Tom rounded off the goal fiesta with a shot in font of goal to end it 7-0 Albion. A mention to the defence in this match as they kept ST J at bay all match giving them little opportunity through a fine display. Lucas in goals was once again, as in the other two games, faultless in his performance and picks up the award for the muddiest player of the season.!
