MUMBLES ALBION 2 V 1 MUMBLES RANGERS

Local derby time again much to the relief of the coaches…not! The first match of the day turned out to be a hard fought, close encounter between the two sides with firstly Albion taking the lead through a fine strike from Shane Harries to make it 1-0 Albion. Soon after Albion went 2-0 up with Shane adding to his tally with another fine effort hitting the net. Some great defensive work from Danny and Lewis and a truly amazing display in goals from Lucas kept Rangers attacks out with shots from Jack Duffy and Rhys going close. There were some strong battles going on in mid field and on the wings with Sam Wade, Callum Elwin, Tom Andrew, Josh Wallis and Bradley Denty giving 110 per cent in both tackles and attacks for both sides. Rangers pulled one back in the second half but Albion held on to round off a fine display with a win

MUMBLES ALBION 2 V 1 ST JOSEPH COLTS GREENS

A second win for the day for Albion with another strong performance. Sam Hollowood featured as striker in this game for the first time and had a great game scoring firstly after some great play in defence from Callum and Danny, then an exchange of some accurate quick passing from Lewis and Jack put Sam through to finish off a fine team effort. A second soon came with Sam finishing off after a fine solo run to make it 2-0 Albion for half time. Second half, ST J came out fighting and soon pulled one back to make it 2-1 but despite many more attempts on goal by Albion the result stood to make it 2-1 Albion.

MUMBLES ALBION 5 V 0 BIRCHGROVE

When you’re on a roll yeh! After a team talk on how to beat Birchgrove and 2 tins of spinach for each player we entered the final match looking our first hat Rick of wins this season. Playing up hill first half, nearly all the football was played in the Birchgrove end with all the Albion players playing some of the best football seen so far this season. It was not long before the goals came thick and fast with Tom scoring 2 and Jack Glasneiks, Shane, Josh with one apiece to make it 5-0 half time. Second half was a little tighter with attempts on goal from both teams coming to nothing so the final result was a win for Albion 5-0, the highest of the season for us. Well-done boys!
