GAME 1: MUMBLES ALBION 2 V 2 LLANGYFELACH

First game on a wet Sunday morning turned out to be an exciting match with end-to-end action from the start. Two very good teams battled it out for the first 5 minutes with a couple of chances to each side coming to nothing. Just before half time Callum made a tackle and won the ball which was played to Jack who put a through ball into the path Michael and his pass back to midfield let Shane in with a strike to make it 1-0. Llangyfelach equalised early in the second half but with some great passing from Jack, Shane and Michael resulted in Lewis having a great strike to make it 2-1. Despite valiant defence late on from Danny and Callum and some outstanding goalkeeping from Lucas an equaliser came to make it 2-2 as a final score.

GAME 2: MUMBLES ALBION 1 V 0 GARDEN VILLAGE

A fantastic win for Albion against a very strong (and big!)Garden Village side in a match that saw one of the best goalkeeping displays of the season from Lucas with his heroics in the goalmouth to keep clean sheet for us. The first half remained goalless despite attempt from both sides with Sam, Tom and Josh all coming close to scoring. Then in the second half, yet again, Shane popped up with a shot to hit the back of the net to make it 1-0  and his second of the day. Some great passing moves and probing runs especially from Michael, Sam and Tom where a pleasure to watch and the team seemed to grow in confidence as they tried different options and showed good communication with each other. With good defence from Lewis the win was ours and well deserved too.

GAME 3 MUMBLES ALBION 1 V 1 CWM ALBION

The final game saw us take on Cwm for the second week in a row. With a few positional changes in the team we still dominated for the best part of the first half with attempts on goal from Tom, Sam and Josh coming agonisingly close. After a run up the right wing from Callum the ball was played through to Jack who took his chance well with his first goal via a 5m strike to make it 1-0. The second half was much the same with relentless pressure form Albion with Danny showing up well in midfield, but then against the run of play and after a goal mouth struggle Cwm equalised to make it 1-1.In the closing minutes of the match we nearly stole a win with Sam putting a shot across the goalmouth after an excellent run and Tom at full stretch just failing to make the small contact it needed to direct the ball in, it remained all square for the second time this week.
