Mumbles Rangers Under 11 Game 1 Mumbles Rangers 1 West End 1
After some early pressure from West
End and some sloppy defending by the Rangers Matthew Hope
getting the first goal for West End. This seemed to kick the
Rangers into gear, after some brilliant passing between Thomas,
(super foot), Brett and new boy Callum, (the poacher), Evans,
Callum scores a superb goal. Once again it was a case running
out of time but still a very good display.
Game 2 Mumbles Rangers 0 Dunvant & 3X's 0
In all my days in football I have
never witnessed such a one sided game, Rangers totally dominated
from the first to the last whistle but could not find the back
of the net. A fantastic display from Elliot, (the terrier),
Leggett and Lewis, (the net buster), Jones coming close to
breaking the deadlock. William, (top gun), Davies had the best
chance but failed to control the ball with his first touch. The
game ended in a very disappointing goalless draw.
Game 3 Mumbles Rangers 1 Mumbles Rangers Colts 3
In this club derby both teams had
chances but the Colts took them where the Rangers did not. Alex
Bell put the Colts into the lead with a quick brace in the first
half. The second half The Rangers made some tactical changes
that seemed to improve the team, Elliot, (the terrier), Leggett
made a blistering run straight through the Colts defence to
score a cracker to bring the game back to 2-1. Then in the dying
seconds during a bit of a pin ball game in the Rangers goal area
up popped Tommy Richards to put the game beyond the Rangers.
Never mind boys, there's always next week.
